一把柴火扎得紧，天上三星亮晶晶。今夜究竟是啥夜晚？见这好人真欢欣。要问你啊要问你，将这好人怎样亲？
一捆牧草扎得多，东南三星正闪烁。今夜究竟是啥夜晚？遇这良辰真快活。要问你啊要问你，拿这良辰怎么过？
一束荆条紧紧捆，天边三星照在门。今夜究竟是啥夜晚？见这美人真兴奋。要问你啊要问你，将这美人怎样疼？
注释
绸（chóu）缪（móu）：缠绕，捆束。犹缠绵也。束薪：喻夫妇同心，情意缠绵，后成为婚姻礼。薪：《诗经》中大部分关于男女婚事常言及“薪”，如《汉广》“翘翘错薪”，《南山》“析薪如之何”。
三星：即参星，主要由三颗星组成。
良人：丈夫，指新郎。
子兮（xī）：你呀。
刍（chú 除）：喂牲口的青草。
隅（yú）：指东南角。
邂（xiè）逅（hòu）：即解媾，解，悦也。原意男女和合爱悦，这里指志趣相投的人。
楚：荆条。
户：门。
粲（càn）：漂亮的人，指新娘。

绸缪创作背景
此诗创作于先秦时代某天的傍晚时分，诗中的新人忙碌一整天虽然太辛苦了，但为了洞房花烛，遂立即傍晚成亲，于是兴致勃勃参加婚礼的作者为贺新婚而创作了这首诗，从诗中可以感受明显的戏谑玩笑味道，大约民间闹洞房时的口头歌唱就是这样子的。

绸缪鉴赏
诗文每章的头两句是起兴，当是诗人所见。
下两章“束刍”、“束楚”同“束薪”。又参星黄昏后始见于东方天空。故知“绸缪束薪，三星在天”两句点明了婚事及婚礼时间。“在天”与下两章“在隅”、“在户”是以三星移动表示时间推移，“隅”指东南角，“在隅”表示“夜久矣”，“在户”则指“至夜半”。
三章合起来可知婚礼进行时间——即从黄昏至半夜。后四句是以玩笑的话来调侃这对新婚夫妇：“今夕何夕，见此良人（粲者）。子兮子兮，如此良人（粲者）何！”问他或她在这千金一刻的良宵，见着自己的心上人，将是如何亲昵对方，尽情享受这幸福的初婚的欢乐。语言活脱风趣，极富有生活气息。其中特别是“今夕何夕”之问，含蓄而俏皮，表现出由于一时惊喜，竟至忘乎所以，连日子也记不起的极兴奋的心理状态，对后世影响颇大，诗人往往借以表达突如其来的欢愉之情，特别是男女之间的情爱。
此诗每小节的后四句颇值得玩味，诗人以平淡之语，写常见之事，抒普通之情，却使人感到神情逼真，似乎身临其境，亲见其人，领受到闹新房的欢乐滋味，见到了无法用语言形容的美丽的新娘，以及陶醉于幸福之中几至忘乎所以的新郎。这充分显示了民间诗人的创造力。
从整体上看这首诗好像洞房花烛夜新婚夫妻在逗趣，具有祝福调侃的意味，非常温馨、甜蜜。在这千金一刻的良宵，见着自己的心上人，将如何尽情享受这新婚的欢乐。语言活脱风趣，极富有生活气息。特别是“今夕何夕”之问，含蓄而俏皮，表现出由于一时惊喜，竟至忘乎所以，连日子也记不起了的心理状态。
