秋天到了，树叶上已有寒霜，江边的稻子也已成熟，农民们正在忙着收割。
此时家乡苕溪两岸，也是稻熟金黄了吧，昨夜睡梦中还闻到金谷飘香呢！

江行无题一百首·其九十七鉴赏
此诗是作者在乾宁（894-898）年间因宰相王抟的倒台而被牵连，由中书舍人被贬为抚州（今江西抚州市）司马时，到抚州就任途中写下的。他伫立船头，目睹两岸万物洒上了一层薄霜，江边已是农事繁忙。被贬的孤愁加上萧肃的秋色，此时此地，不能不令人感触重重。作者自然也会想到家乡稻熟的情景。眼前的景物使他对故乡心往神驰，“一夜梦中香”就是当时心境的写照。至于是作者在梦中回到故乡，尽闻稻香扑鼻，还是阵阵秋风从远方把故乡的稻香吹到“独在异乡为异客”的游子梦中，这倒是无足轻重的，可以把自由想象的天地留给读者。令人拍案叫的是，全诗四句，无一字言思乡，而思乡之情自现。“一夜梦中香”一句，生动、新颖、充满感情，余味无穷，把相思写透、写绝了。可谓不着一字，尽得风流。这便是作者善酿浓醇诗味之功力所致。
