译文
装满一肚子诗书，博古通今。
连年流落他乡，最易伤情。
囚徒整天关押在帅府里，
哪年才有机会回到宋京？
可叹立身正直动辄得咎，
谄媚奔兢之徒，反据要津。
锋利的莫邪剑啊，你在哪里？
不杀尽这些奸邪，此恨难平！
沉沉的长夜里，帐幕上布满严霜。
有时候，我也做梦回到家乡。
听说金国人要把我长留不放，
我自信能够学苏武北海放羊。
想起两朝君王都遭受贬辱，
遥念祖国原野上已经久绝农桑。
人生一死全不值得重视，
对于你的仇恨，我死也不会遗忘！
注释
“南冠”句：《左传》成公九年：“晋侯观于军府，见钟义，问之曰：‘南冠而絷者谁也’，有司对曰：‘郑人所献楚囚也’。”南冠，这里作囚徒解；军府，将帅的衙门。
“北雁”句：汉朝，苏武出使匈奴被扣，因为不肯投降，被送去北海（今俄罗斯贝加尔湖）牧羊。后来汉朝和匈奴和亲，要求将苏武放回，匈奴推说苏武已死。汉朝的使节骗他们说：天子在上林苑射猎得雁，足系帛书，知道苏武等在某处。匈奴知道不能再隐瞒，将苏武释放回国。
“开口”句：摧颓，毁坏、废弃的意思。抱朴，保持纯洁的本性。
“胁肩”句：胁肩，耸起肩膀，献媚的样子。腰金，腰围金带比喻有权势的人。
莫邪：传说春秋时，吴国干将和莫邪夫妇造雌雄两剑，就以干将名雄剑，莫邪名雌剑，都是有名的剑。
奸邪：指当时南宋当权的一批投降派首领黄潜善、汪伯彦、秦桧等人。
西河馆：春秋时期晋国和鲁国在平丘地方会盟，晋国扣留鲁国的大臣季孙意如，要把他长期安置在西河地方的宾馆里；这里指金国用同样手段对待作者。
北海羊：汉朝苏武出使匈奴，被送去北海牧羊，先后十九年，始终不屈，所持汉节的节旄全都脱光了
两朝”句：两朝，指徽宗和钦宗两帝。草莽，野草，古时称不在朝的臣子为“草莽之臣”。这里指皇帝已被贬黜为老百姓。
“裂眥”句：裂眥，愤怒得胀破眼眶。汝，指金国。

宇文虚中（1079～1146），宋朝爱国大臣、诗人。初名黄中，宋徽宗亲改其名为虚中，字叔通，别号龙溪居士。成都广都（今成都双流）人。宋徽宗大观三年（1109）进士，官至资政殿大学士，南宋时出使金国被扣，被迫官礼部尚书、翰林学士承旨，封河内郡开国公，并被尊为“国师”，后因图谋南奔而被杀。
