译文
漫游风尘十年一觉湖州梦，仍像旧时一样久别重逢。四目相对心意相同，却空有灵犀一点通。
寻春时恨自己为什么来晚，芳艳的春事尽已成空。恼恨这无情的春风，吹得疏荫绿遍吹尽了姹紫嫣红。
注释
采桑子，词牌名，以和凝《采桑子·蝤蛴领上诃梨子》为正体，双调四十四字，前后段各四句三平韵。
湖州，今浙江吴兴县。
灵犀一点通：灵犀，古人把犀牛角中心有一条白纹道贯通的叫作通天犀，看作是神奇灵异之物。李商隐《无题》诗： “心有灵犀一点通。”
懊恼：悔恨烦恼。
绿尽疏阴落尽红：即杜牧“绿叶成荫子满枝”诗意。

王寂的这首《采桑子》是以杜牧的情感故事为题材而创作的。

采桑子·十年尘土湖州梦鉴赏
与杜牧原诗《遣怀》：“落魄江南载酒行，楚腰纤细掌中轻。十年一觉扬州梦，赢得青楼薄幸名。”相比，此词全篇含有杜牧故事，又有杜牧诗意。杜牧用绝句，句式整齐，音节浏亮，表现的意绪略显轻微，其妙于比兴，但只提供了一个大的情境。而此词则用长短句，参差交错，富有乐感，更显哀感顽艳，凄恻动人，且情感更深内容更详，“眼约心同”更为此词画龙点睛，神、情、意顿时毕现。
上片，“十年尘土湖州梦，依旧相逢”“湖州梦”似仿杜牧“十年一觉扬州梦”之句。作者把“一觉”换成“尘土”更显含蓄朦胧。回首十年人生路，重返湖州，但见尘土满衣襟，难喜相逢。”眼约心同，空有灵犀一点通。“后一句中化用李商隐“身无彩凤双飞翼，心有灵犀一点通，”而词意顿改。李诗言虽相隔两地，但情感相通，此则近在咫尺，却不能相亲相爱，一个“空”字表达了多少惆怅，多少怨恨。句中前日“依旧”，继言“空有”，对比转折，准确而强烈地传达了那种沉重的失落感，那种对时乖命蹇、阴差阳错的诅咒和无可奈何的情绪，好像一下子从情感的波峰跌到浪谷，从美好的梦幻跌落到无情的现实中来，一种沉重的失落感顿上心头。
下片“寻春自恨来何暮，春事成空。”感慨命运无情，时光空度，只留下一种深深的怨愤。“懊恼东风，绿尽疏阴落尽红。”“东风”、“落红”句，遗憾之气十足，意味悠远弥永。重情的人，偏有坎坷的爱情经历，情到深处，让人倍尝辛苦，十年之愁，凝铸了佳篇。作者直接化用杜牧诗句，更是表达作者对“绿尽疏阴落尽红”的无奈，只能懊恼东风的无情。
在这首词中，作者写男女情事，不是像前代词人那样，咏离别，寄相思，而是选择了一种比较特殊的情境，写由重逢带来的感伤。久别重逢，理应使人惊喜欢欣，可是这首词所写的却是一种令人痛苦难堪的重逢。经历了长期的相思之苦以后，满怀着美好的憧憬而来，却因相逢而撕碎了霓虹般的梦影。旧情虽在，人事已非，咫尺相对，只能眉目含情而已。这种情境本身，就具有强烈的艺术冲击力。
作者引用杜牧诗事，遣词用意似有同感。字里行间既述说杜牧往事，又寄托了自身无限情感。这首词写久别（十年）重逢，不见些许欢欢，满是一种痛苦伤怀之情。
