译文
困守官舍，使我终年地烦闷。漫步郊野，曙光荡涤我的胸襟。
杨柳依依，在和风里摇曳不定。青山如画，淡泊了我的尘念俗情。
斜倚树丛，我休息得多么安宁；沿着山涧，继续信步前行。
微雨过后，芬芳的原野更加滋润清新，斑鸠声声，却不知在哪里欢鸣。
我向来喜爱幽静，可惜总难以遂心。公务缠绕，生活常感觉迫促不宁。
我终将辞谢官职，去营造茅屋一进，追随陶潜的步履，但愿得到那清雅的风情。
注释
跼（jú）：拘束。
旷清曙：在清幽的曙色中得以精神舒畅。
澹（dàn）：澄净。虑：思绪。
丛：树林。憩（qì）：休息。
缘：沿着。涧：山沟。还复去：徘徊往来。
霭（ǎi）：云气，这里作动词，笼罩。
“乐幽”二句：意谓自己颇爱这地方的幽静，想住下来，却又几次终止，就因公事在身，形迹上还是显得很匆忙。
“终罢”二句：典出陶渊明"结庐在人境，而无车马喧"表面要效仿陶渊明辞官归隐。斯，一作“期”。慕陶，指归隐。直，或作真，就。庶，庶几，差不多。

这首诗是大历十四年（779）春在鄠县令任上作。

东郊鉴赏
韦应物晚年对陶渊明极为向往，不但作诗“效陶体”，而且生活上也“慕陶”“等陶”。这首诗歌就是韦应物羡慕陶渊明生活和诗歌创作的证明。
这是写春日郊游情景的诗。诗先写拘束于公务，因而案牍劳形。次写春日郊游，快乐无限。再写归隐不遂，越发慕陶。韦应物不想在局促的官署里度日，清晨来到了清旷的郊外。但见春风吹拂柳条，青山能荡涤自己的俗虑，又有微雨芳原、春鸠鸣野，于是心中为之清爽。走倦了歇歇，歇完了再沿溪边散漫行走。但毕竟他是个做官的人，心中时时要冒出公务之念，因此想以后能摆脱官职，结庐此地，过像渊明一样的田园生活。
这首诗写春天山野之景很清新，显示出诗人写景的才能。但韦应物不是陶渊明，陶渊明“复得返自然”后能躬耕田里，兴来作诗歌田园风景，农村景象处处可入诗中，处处写得自然生动。韦应物则是公余赏景，是想以清旷之景涤荡尘累，对自然之美体味得没有陶渊明那样深刻细致。陶渊明之诗自然舒卷，而韦应物则不免锤炼，如此诗中的“蔼”字。但平心而论，韦应物写景，在唐朝还是能卓然自成一家的。
这首诗以真情实感诉说了官场生活的繁忙乏味，抒发了回归自然的清静快乐。人世哲，经验谈，话真情真，读之教益非浅。“杨柳散和风，青山澹吾虑”，可谓风景陶冶情怀的绝唱。

韦应物（737～792），中国唐代诗人。汉族，长安(今陕西西安)人。今传有10卷本《韦江州集》、两卷本《韦苏州诗集》、10卷本《韦苏州集》。散文仅存一篇。因出任过苏州刺史，世称“韦苏州”。诗风恬淡高远，以善于写景和描写隐逸生活著称。
