后园中姐儿十六七，见一双胡蝶戏。香肩靠粉墙，玉指弹珠泪。唤丫鬟赶开他别处飞。
清江引·咏所见鉴赏
后园里一双蝴蝶好端端地飞舞嬉戏，却被小姐吩咐丫鬟予以驱逐。蝴蝶永远搞不明白什么地方得罪了小姐，而读者对个中缘故却是一目了然的。所以虽然小令只有短小的五句，仍使人感到清新有味。人们欣赏无名作者新奇大胆的构思，欣赏作品柔媚的民歌风调。
起首两句是对事件背景的交代，“姐儿十六七”、“一双胡蝶戏”，纯用口语，质直无华，带有典型的小调风味。三、四句作小姐的特写。“香肩”、“玉指”、“粉墙”、“珠泪”，在民歌说来已是一种雅化，然而又与文人炼字琢词的求雅不同，使用的是一些近于套语的习用书面语，类似于说唱文学中“沉鱼落雁，闭月羞花”一等的水平，故仍体现出俚曲“文而不文”的特色。末句则沟通并表出“姐儿”与“胡蝶”两者的联系。五句三层，各层次各自独立形成一幅画面，合在一起，却成了一段情节有趣、动感十足的小剧。
本篇题称“咏所见”，当然生活中不至于存在神经如此脆弱的女子。但小曲确实让读者有所见，且对这位十六七岁“姐儿”在爱情婚姻上不能顺遂的遭际产生同情，这正说明了作品新巧构思的成功。又全曲五句纯用白描，不作半分解释和评论，这种意在言外的含蓄，也是令人过目难忘的。
利用“一双胡蝶”来作闺中女子怀春伤情的文章，在散曲中并非仅见。清代曲家潘曾莹有一首《清江引》：“墙角一枝花弄暝，庭院添凄迥。黄昏深闭门，红褪燕脂冷。飘来一双胡蝶影。”把一名未出场的独居女子的孤牺痛苦，表现得淋漓尽致。两相比较，也可发现民间散曲与文人散曲，在率意与刻意的祈向上的不同。
