刘兄文高行孤立，十五年前名翕习。是时相遇在符离，
我年二十君三十。得意忘年心迹亲，寓居同县日知闻。
衡门寂寞朝寻我，古寺萧条暮访君。朝来暮去多携手，
穷巷贫居何所有。秋灯夜写联句诗，春雪朝倾暖寒酒。
陴湖绿爱白鸥飞，濉水清怜红鲤肥。偶语闲攀芳树立，
相扶醉蹋落花归。张贾弟兄同里巷，乘闲数数来相访，
雨天连宿草堂中，月夜徐行石桥上。我年渐长忽自惊，
镜中冉冉髭须生。心畏后时同励志，身牵前事各求名。
问我栖栖何所适，乡人荐为鹿鸣客。二千里别谢交游，
三十韵诗慰行役。出门可怜唯一身，敝裘瘦马入咸秦。
冬冬街鼓红尘暗，晚到长安无主人。二贾二张与余弟，
驱车逦迤来相继。操词握赋为干戈，锋锐森然胜气多。
齐入文场同苦战，五人十载九登科。二张得隽名居甲，
美退争雄重告捷。棠棣辉荣并桂枝，芝兰芳馥和荆叶。
唯有沅犀屈未伸，握中自谓骇鸡珍。三年不鸣鸣必大，
岂独骇鸡当骇人。元和运启千年圣，同遇明时余最幸。
始辞秘阁吏王畿，遽列谏垣升禁闱。蹇步何堪鸣珮玉，
衰容不称著朝衣。阊阖晨开朝百辟，冕旒不动香烟碧。
步登龙尾上虚空，立去天颜无咫尺。宫花似雪从乘舆，
禁月如霜坐直庐。身贱每惊随内宴，才微常愧草天书。
晚松寒竹新昌第，职居密近门多闭。日暮银台下直回，
故人到门门暂开。回头下马一相顾，尘土满衣何处来。
敛手炎凉叙未毕，先说旧山今悔出。岐阳旅宦少欢娱，
江左羁游费时日。赠我一篇行路吟，吟之句句披沙金。
岁月徒催白发貌，泥涂不屈青云心。谁会茫茫天地意，
短才获用长才弃。我随鹓鹭入烟云，谬上丹墀为近臣。
君同鸾凤栖荆棘，犹著青袍作选人。惆怅知贤不能荐，
徒为出入蓬莱殿。月惭谏纸二百张，岁愧俸钱三十万。
大底浮荣何足道，几度相逢即身老。且倾斗酒慰羁愁，
重话符离问旧游。北巷邻居几家去，东林旧院何人住。
武里村花落复开，流沟山色应如故。感此酬君千字诗，
醉中分手又何之。须知通塞寻常事，莫叹浮沉先后时。

白居易（772年－846年），字乐天，号香山居士，又号醉吟先生，祖籍太原，到其曾祖父时迁居下邽，生于河南新郑。是唐代伟大的现实主义诗人，唐代三大诗人之一。白居易与元稹共同倡导新乐府运动，世称“元白”，与刘禹锡并称“刘白”。白居易的诗歌题材广泛，形式多样，语言平易通俗，有“诗魔”和“诗王”之称。官至翰林学士、左赞善大夫。公元846年，白居易在洛阳逝世，葬于香山。有《白氏长庆集》传世，代表诗作有《长恨歌》、《卖炭翁》、《琵琶行》等。
