元朝时期，萨天锡送濬天渊入朝，有“地湿厌闻天竺雨，月明来听景阳钟”之句，很多人都夸好，只有山东一个老叟认为应将“闻”改为“看”，萨天锡问为什么要这样改，老叟说：“唐人有林下老僧来看雨。”萨天锡俯首拜他为“一字师”
