路不拾遗的典故

秦孝公任用商鞅为重臣，听从他的建议，制定新法，废除维护贵族特权的旧法，实行改革。这就是历史上著名的“商鞅变法”。商鞅坚决主张法律面前人人平等，不管是什么人，只要对国家有贡献，就应该予以奖励。他废除贵族世袭制度，按军功的大小分封不同的爵位等级。他鼓励耕织，发展农业生产，兴修水利，规定生产多的人可以免除徭役。由于商鞅积极推行变法，秦国的老百姓生产积极性提高了，军队纪律严明，士兵们都愿意去打仗。老百姓的生活逐渐富裕。社会秩序安定，民风也变
