唐朝秀才崔郊与他姑母家的婢女相恋，感情很深，后来她被卖给连帅，两人不得相见。一天，崔郊与她在路上相遇而不能交谈。崔郊感慨万分，就写下一诗：“公子王孙逐后尘，绿珠垂泪滴罗巾。侯门一入深如海，从此萧郎是路人。”
