春秋时期，楚国的军队在嶲地背后驻扎，晋侯担心他们来偷袭晋国，听到童谣“原田每每，舍其旧而新足谋。”晋侯更加担心了。子犯进谏说：“战也！战而捷，必得诸侯；若其不捷，表里山河，必无害也。”晋侯决定依据地势而进攻。
