恬不知耻的典故

王安石（1021-1086），字介甫，号半山，抚州临川——今江西人，为神宗时宰相，主持变法（列宁曾称其为“中国十一世纪时的改革家”）。崔公度有口吃病，不健谈，但头脑异常清醒聪明，读书过目不忘。他作的赋深得欧阳修、王安石、韩琦等名士的赏识。公度布衣出身，朝中无亲朋可依靠，于是专以顺附谄媚王安石为务，经常不分昼夜向王安石请安，即使在厕中相遇，也莫不诚惶诚恐。一次他尾随王安石之后，手执其衣带尾，王安石回顾疑惑不解，公度却笑着说：“相公，您的衣带有点污垢，我已小心地用袍袖擦干净了。”见者无不耻笑，而他自己却不以为耻。
