断织劝学的成语故事

拼音duàn zhī quàn xué

基本解释原指东汉时乐羊子妻借切断织机上的线，来讽喻丈夫不可中途废学。后比喻劝勉学习。

出处《后汉书：乐羊子妻传》载：“远寻师，一年来归，妻跪问其故，羊子曰：‘久行怀思，无它异也。’妻乃引刀趋机而言曰：‘……，今若断斯织也，则损失成功，……，若中道而归，何异断斯织乎？’”

断织劝学的典故

东汉时期，书生乐羊子一次拾到一块金子回家交给妻子，妻子告诫他不要贪图意外之财。他从那以后就外出求学，一年后回家不想再去，妻子用剪刀剪织布机上的绸子来打比方，希望他要持之以恒，不能前功尽弃。他坚持了七年终于学成归来。
