基本解释残：剩余的；羹：有浓汁的食品；炙：烤熟的肉。喝剩下的酒食。可泛指吃剩下的饭菜。旧时引申为权贵们的施舍。有时亦比喻饮食节俭；生活清苦。也作“残杯冷炙”、“羹残炙冷”。
